Musical diaspora (third date)Journey in gnawa music of Maghreb.

Oumaima Belamdi’s gentle voice took us on a journey with Abdullah Ajerrar’s gimbri and metal castanets, accompanied by Gianluca Sia. Like the Brazilian Macumba and other Afro-descendant music, Gnawa aims to cure women and men of the physical and psychological ills that afflict them.
Last night great healing, thanks to the many souls and hands that helped make this evening special, from the music, to the mint tea to the sauces on Arabic bread, to the sound engineer Giancarlo and the large, attentive audience.

Next and last appointment of the “Musical Diasporas” on Sunday 19 December.
