From 18 to 23 May 2025, Seville will become the new stop on the European tour of Soundroutes, the project that brings together young artists, trainers and activists from across Europe through hip hop culture.
Organised by Spanish partner Marmaduke, the Seville International Bootcamp will bring together 25 artists from Spain, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Algeria, Mexico and the United States, led by two key figures from the Andalusian hip hop scene: Ramón García “Polako” and Hamid Nureddin Nehring.
For one week, between the workshops of the Factoría Cultural, the CICUS cultural centre, the Polakoteka and the city’s working-class neighbourhoods, hip hop will become a tool for training, exchange and collective creation.
Through writing workshops, audio and video recording, urban walks and live performances, the bootcamp will build a path of intercultural exchange and artistic co-creation.
🎤 The objectives: to write and record together an original song and a collective video cypher, working on flow, rhythm and storytelling as tools for connection and awareness.
The programme will culminate on 22 May with a public concert at Sala La2, where participants will present the material co-created during the week.
In addition to music, the Bootcamp will offer moments of discovery and reflection: a walk through the history of graffiti in Seville with artist Tinto247, encounters with the local scene and informal moments of sharing to build real relationships, inside and outside the studio.
‘Soundroutes is much more than a music project — it’s a political experiment in transnational artistic community,’ explain Marmaduke. ‘In Seville, we will work on the idea of unity: not only between genres and languages, but between the different forms of resistance that run through hip hop.’
The Soundroutes International Bootcamp in Seville confirms the project’s commitment to connecting art, social justice and freedom of expression, following the experiences in Ghent and Rome, and ahead of the next stops in Greece.
