A Sud

A Sud is an independent Italian organization founded in 2003 to promote the culture of ecology and cooperation between the global South and the global North and among different stakeholders in the attempt to build environmental and climate justice in Italy and abroad.

Since its foundation, A Sud acts as a bridge organization between different actors whose convergence is essential to the promotion of real change: non profit organisations, grassroots, local communities, decision makers, youth, producers, trade unions, academics.

A Sud activities and topics of interest includes:
– environmental and intercultural education, professional trainings, capacity building and awareness raising; civic participation;
– research and divulgation on issues of environmental conflicts, health and the environment, climate change, circular economy;
– ecological conversion of energy and productive sectors; promotion of national and international campaigns and actions for environmental, climate and social justice;
– development of collaborative and sustainable European projects with other environmental and cultural organizations, grassroots, universities, research centres and think thank, cultural entities, local authorities;
– environmental communication and divulgation on topics such as participatory democracy, political ecology, ecological economics, climate sciences.
– community organizing and active citizenship;
– cultural events related to the topic of interests and Climate Mainstreaming in the cultural sector.
