From 17 to 19 January 2025, A School Called Tribe – Seville returned for its second and final module, transforming the training course into an experience of total collective creation.
During the weekend, participants combined musical and visual work into a single narrative: a song, a video clip and a mural.
The three days began with a session of lyric review and recording rehearsals, with the support of coaches Polako Plof, Vicky Giráldez and Omzo.
The jams became real moments of production: some songs written in December took shape in the studio, while others were born spontaneously during rehearsals.
On Saturday afternoon, the music and graffiti groups gathered at the Parque de Guadaíra, where they created a collective mural together — an explosion of letters, puppets and colours, symbolising the link between words and matter.
Meanwhile, the video team documented the process, creating the video clip ‘Cypher Vol. 2’, featuring songs by Vicky Giráldez, Omzo, Lola Buero, Fugi Al Kayssar and Polako Plof.
The closing night was a party.
On the stage set up in the Polakoteka space, the participants presented their tracks live, alternating between rap, spoken word and dance.
The energy was that of a community that recognises and celebrates itself: a microcosm of languages, sounds and solidarity.
‘It was much more than a workshop,’ said one of the participants.
‘We have built a tribe that doesn’t stop here.’
A School Called Tribe – Seville ended with a strong sense of continuity: a collective step between the Local Hubs and the upcoming Soundroutes international bootcamps, which will bring together artists from all over Europe in 2025.
